head, and try again.  Or bury your shame and implement it anyway...

If anyone is interested in helping out with the instructionset,
developing it a bit, helping run it/promote it or whatever then please
get in touch.  It's not a commercial endeavour but it would be nice to
find ways of opening it up and getting more people involved with
contributing code.
