Yep it would be great to have broader promotion...  Please do pimp
instructionset around.  It would be nice to have a coders gathering
around ideas rather than around tools or languages.

While I'm typing, I'm not sure if a competition that James suggested or
a rating system would be a good idea.  I think it's nice that the code
stands alone on instructionset, no snarky or over-enthusiastic comments,
or thumbs-up/thumbs-down buttons to discourage submissions.  It's nice
to do things for the hell of it and not worry about how it will be
judged...  Also on-line ratings usually only leave you with the
submissions that needed the least effort to understand.
